Aftercare.
-
Step 1.
Wash your hands before touching a healing tattoo. Wear your Saniderm second skin bandage for AT LEAST 3-4 days. It is normal for fluid to collect under the bandage (especially with heavy solid ink coverage). You can bathe as normal with your bandage on. Be patient while you heal.
-
Step 2.
Saniderm removes much easier in the shower by working warm water under the edge and slowly peeling from the top down. Remove the bandage, clean the area with unscented soap if possible and gently pat dry. Wait 30min and you will notice your tattoo drying up.
-
Step 3.
At this point, just keep your tattoo clean. You may notice your tattoo feeling itchy. This is the healing process at work. If you like, you can occasionally apply a thin layer of Aquaphor or an all natural solution like Reborn aftercare balm (offered at the shop). These products promote a smooth clean healing process.
